Glasgow 2026 is seeking an experienced media buying agency to help deliver a bold and impactful advertising campaign that captures the imagination of the public, drives engagement, and supports key commercial targets across the lifecycle of the Games.

With over 3,000 athletes competing across 10 sports, and a mission to create the most inclusive Commonwealth Games ever, Glasgow 2026 needs a media partner who understands how to inspire audiences, fill venues, and spark excitement across Scotland and beyond.


Key Campaign Objectives

  • Drive awareness and emotional connection with the Games brand.

  • Deliver full venues through a highly effective ticketing campaign.

  • Recruit 3,000 volunteers from across Glasgow and beyond.

  • Promote official merchandise and mascot-related campaigns.

  • Build a Games-ready community through targeted digital outreach.


Scope of Work

The successful agency will:

  • Create and deliver an integrated, data-driven multi-channel media plan.

  • Lead negotiations across digital, OOH, and traditional media to maximise value.

  • Collaborate with the creative agency and in-house team to ensure messaging is consistent and effective.

  • Provide ongoing reporting, optimisation, and evaluation.

  • Support digital-first planning with a strong OOH strategy, in line with Glasgow 2026’s branding and strategic narrative.


Campaign Timeline Highlights

  • Mass awareness campaign: July–August 2025

  • Volunteer campaign launch: October–December 2025

  • Tickets on sale: Winter 2025 into 2026

  • Merchandising & mascot campaigns throughout 2025–2026

  • All campaigns conclude by Games end: 2 August 2026

  • Agency credentials and relevant case studies

  • Cost proposal with a clear pricing structure

  • Team structure and key personnel bios

  • Detailed timeline and delivery plan

  • At least three references from comparable projects
