Team Scotland has today announced its squad for the Glasgow 2026 Weightlifting competition, with nine athletes set to take to the iconic Armadillo stage next month and compete in front of a home crowd.

S4C will provide live Welsh-language coverage of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, marking the first time the broadcaster will deliver live coverage of the Commonwealth Games.

Major event venues in Glasgow will be powered by renewable electricity as EDF, Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity, becomes the Official Energy and Utilities Principal Partner of Glasgow 2026 and an Official Partner for all Home Nations; Team Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Sir Chris Hoy, one of the most successful British athletes of all time, today (5 June) unveiled the first in a series of Glasgow 2026 murals as Tour de 4, a unique cycling event created by the sporting champion, becomes an Official Provider of the Games and an Official Supporter of Team Scotland.
