2025 was undoubtedly a stellar 12 months of sporting success and Commonwealth athletes delivered a series of outstanding performances which only further increased excitement ahead of Glasgow 2026.

Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games has today announced its Glasgow 2026 Festival Fund, committing £250,000 for organisations, community groups and individuals to be part of next summer’s Glasgow 2026 Festival, which will surround the UK’s biggest sporting event in 2026.

“Boxing is the best ticket you can buy,” states Wales Commonwealth champion Rosie Eccles with a beaming smile. “The atmosphere is electric, so walking out into venues is just incredible and I know people in Glasgow can bring so much energy to help us form the fights of our lives!”
