Welsh women won two golds among three medals on day two at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.

Anna Morris started the Welsh podium procession in the 4000m Individual Pursuit where she set a Games record en route to gold ahead of England's Josie Knight, with Scotland's Erin Boothman prevailing in the bronze medal race.

She had a time of 4:24.272 setting the new games record previously held by Josie Knight of England with 4:19.461 set in Turkey in February of this year.

Morris said: “It’s super special. We get that opportunity once every four years to wear the Welsh jersey and try and get on the top step to sing the anthem.”
