Meet Finnie

Hey, I’m Finnie!

Lovely to meet you, I’m Finnie the official mascot for the Glasgow 2026, Commonwealth Games.

I’m a unicorn (Scotland’s national animal - just saying). Sport’s my absolute favourite thing. I’m here to cheer on every athlete, bring the buzz and maybe add a little magic to The Games while I’m at it.

So, let me tell you a little bit about me...

After I was imagined by the young people of Glasgow, something amazing happened, they wrote my story. From where I grew up, to how I got my horn, my stars and everything that makes me, me. It’s full of magic, sport and loads of heart.

Some call me the hype-master because I love making people smile, cheering from the sidelines and getting the crowd going. I can feel when they’re buzzing and I can tell when they need a boost. If the energy’s dipping, I’m there with a grin, a wave, maybe even a wee dance. If it’s tense, I’ll help lift the nerves. I’m there for the big cheers, the quiet moments and everything in between. Whatever the mood is, I help turn it into something magic. I’ll cheer for every single athlete, in every sport, from every country. If someone’s down, I’m the one with an arm around their shoulder. If things go quiet, I’m the one starting the clap. If it’s getting close to a big moment, I’ve probably already started bouncing.

But you should really see it for yourself:

My Signature Poses

This one’s all heart, it shows how much I love sport, the athletes and everyone cheering from the sidelines. I’m big-hearted, full of support and always rooting for the team. It’s friendly, open and says ‘You’re part of this too.’

A little bit of sass and a lot of welcome. This pose is me saying, ‘Hey, come on in!’ with a grin. I’m confident, playful and proud of where I come from. This pose is bold, warm and full of that proper Glasgow spirit.

The Sports

I gave them all a go! As the official mascot, I had one big job, to try out every single sport. I gave it my best shot, from diving into the pool to spinning it out on the track, just so I’d know what it feels like to show up and give it everything. I even got to wear some of the kit. Who knew a swimming cap and a horn could work so well together?
