That's right – it's officially Games month! ✨🦄

For months, I've been counting down, spreading a little unicorn magic wherever I've gone and meeting so many wonderful people along the way. Now, the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games are almost here, and I don't think this sparkly unicorn has ever been so excited!

June was one of my busiest months yet, so saddle up... here's what I've been up to!

One of my favourite moments was celebrating the grand finale of the Glasgow Schools Baton Relay at beautiful Dumfries House. It was so lovely meeting children from learning communities across Glasgow after they'd spent months designing their own unique batons and sending them on magical journeys through their schools.

I loved popping into all the different workshops, from gardening and farming to STEM and textiles... and I even made a brand-new friend called Vinny. He was a cow! I don't meet many cows, but I can confirm they're udderly delightful.

Finnie - Bus

Something super exciting happened last month – I got to climb aboard the very first Glasgow 2026-branded bus! Seeing it all dressed up in Games colours and knowing that it will be driving all around the city filled me with so much joy! My favourite part? The ‘unicorn on board’ detail, of course!

June was packed full of sport too – just the way I like it! I cheered on talented young athletes at cross-country events, netball festivals, athletics competitions and the City of Dance Finals, where the performances absolutely sparkled. I even helped lead the warm-up, handed out medals and gave away lots of Mini Finnies to celebrate everyone's fantastic efforts.

I also discovered that my boxing skills still need a little work at the 4 Nations Championships... I think I'll stick to spreading my unicorn magic at Games time!

Another highlight was joining hundreds of children from across Glasgow for PRIDE Lite at the City Chambers. We played games, shared lots of laughs, and, of course, took plenty of selfies. Nothing beats seeing so many smiling faces together.

This unicorn also managed to squeeze in a few adventures beyond Glasgow!

Finnie - South trip

I trotted down to Newcastle, where I finally met the Angel of the North. Wow... I thought I was magical, but that statue is HUGE! I then made my way south to London to attend the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office Commonwealth Games event at Lancaster House. I was so humbled to be invited – of course, my special sparkly shoes had to come out!

Back home, I visited Giffnock North Athletics Club – home to Team Scotland star Neil Gourley – joined the Day of Movement celebrations at Tollcross and met future students at the University of Glasgow Open Day.

As the countdown reached just one month to go, the excitement across the city was impossible to miss. I celebrated by playing netball with athletes and content creators on a pop-up court beside the Hydro, before heading off to fan zones, family fun days, community events and even collecting my official Games accreditation.

That's right... this unicorn is officially Games-ready!

One moment that made my heart sparkle just a little brighter was reaching the end of this year's school visits. Since November, I've visited an incredible 158 schools across Glasgow and the surrounding area, and through events like the Schools Baton Relay I've now met pupils from more than 500 schools across Scotland.

Every classroom, assembly hall and playground has been filled with excitement for Glasgow 2026. Thank you to every single pupil, teacher and school who welcomed me with their warm hearts.

Looking back, June was full of unforgettable adventures, but it also reminded me what the Games are really all about – bringing people together, inspiring the next generation and celebrating the magic of sport.

And now... the countdown is almost over.

The venues are getting ready. The city is buzzing. This unicorn is ready to welcome the Commonwealth.

See you at Glasgow 2026, friends!
