Commonwealth Sport Foundation
The Commonwealth Sport Foundation is the Official Charity Partner of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, helping to raise vital funds to support inspiring projects in Glasgow, across Scotland, and throughout the Commonwealth.
Established in 2020 and inspired by the transformational impact of Glasgow 2014, the Commonwealth Sport Foundation is the charitable arm of the Commonwealth Sport Movement.
Through public and private donations, the Foundation is building a powerful legacy that will extend far beyond the Games, focusing on youth inclusion, community and opportunity.
Its mission is to harness the power of the Games to:
-
Support young people and emerging athletes
-
Promote inclusion and access to sport
-
Strengthen communities
-
Deliver long-term social impact
To date, the Foundation has raised almost £5 million to support projects in more than 45 countries, from disability sport and youth inclusion programmes to education, skills and employment initiatives.
Supporting Glasgow, Scotland and the Commonwealth
All funds raised through Glasgow 2026 will be shared equally:
-
50% in Scotland – supporting local charities and community programmes
-
50% across the Commonwealth – funding sport-for-development initiatives
This ensures the Games deliver meaningful benefits at home and internationally. Read about the charities and causes benefitting from Glasgow 2026 here
