The Role

We have a unique and exciting opportunity available to join the team as a Technology Operations Coordinator! This role will place you at the heart of the action, working alongside experts to deliver a global event that sets the new standard for major sporting celebrations. You’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to creating a world-class Games.

The Technology Operations Coordinator will support the successful delivery of core technology platforms and digital infrastructure that underpin the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. This role sits within a dynamic and evolving environment shaped by the Glasgow 2026 collaborative delivery model, where responsibilities are shared across a network of delivery partners rather than being owned solely by a traditional central Organising Committee.

Working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and public and private sector delivery partners, you will ensure that Games-critical systems—such as accreditation, workforce, results and venue technology—are delivered on time, securely and inclusively. Job Summary:

This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking, legacy-driven Games, anchored in innovation, sustainability and community empowerment.

Key Skills and Experience: 

We are looking for a Technology Operations Coordinator who has proven experience coordinating system or technology rollouts within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and be familiar with cloud-based platforms, IT Infrastructure and SaaS Models.

In addition, the successful candidates need to demonstrate the ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experienced with or understanding of a partnership-based delivery model with cross-organisational alignments and all related documentation/communication requirements.

Proficient in project management/milestone tracking tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project.

The following skills are desirable but not essential for this position:

  • Multi-sport event/Festival or large-scale project experience withing a decentralised delivery model
  • Familiarity with Games systems, accreditation, results, sports entries, workforce, ticketing or volunteering platforms
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive tech practices
