The Role

We have a unique and exciting opportunity available to join the team as a Head of Sponsor Services.  This role will place you at the heart of the action, working alongside experts to deliver a global event that sets the new standard for major sporting celebrations. You’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to creating a world-class Games.

The sponsorship programme plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of Glasgow 2026, providing both revenue and promotional value in the lead-up to and during the Games. A specialist agency, contracted by Commonwealth Sport, is currently leading partner acquisition, with final numbers and levels to be confirmed. The Head of Sponsor Services will lead the day-to-day management of sponsor relationships to ensure rights are delivered with excellence and sponsors remain highly engaged throughout the journey.

This is an opportunity to be at the heart of a world-class event, working with passionate professionals and visionary leaders who are committed to showcasing Scotland on the international stage as well as delivering excellence for athletes and local communities.

Job Summary:

As Head of Sponsor Services, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that commercial partners receive outstanding service and value throughout their association with the Games. You will oversee the delivery of contractual rights and entitlements, support the induction and onboarding process, and work closely with both the sponsorship agency and internal teams to ensure every interaction aligns with the high standards of Glasgow 2026.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of partners, coordinating internal stakeholders, and overseeing the sponsor servicing lifecycle – from onboarding through to Games time operations and post-event debrief. You’ll champion sponsor satisfaction and be instrumental in delivering a collaborative, well-executed commercial programme.

Key Skills and Experience:

We are seeking a confident and experienced professional with a strong track record in delivering sponsor services and managing complex partner relationships within high-paced, high-profile event environments. The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded blend of commercial acumen, operational planning expertise, and outstanding communication skills to ensure sponsor expectations are consistently exceeded.

You will have demonstrable experience in project management, gained through working on major sporting or cultural events, with direct involvement in delivering sponsor rights—ideally within an agency, organising committee, or sport’s governing body. Your ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality, will be critical to your success in this role.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential, along with a proven ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a solid history of building and maintaining successful commercial relationships. Additionally, you will be a skilled communicator, with excellent written and presentation abilities, and experience preparing high-quality documentation and sponsor-facing materials.
