The Role

We have a unique and exciting opportunity available to join the team as our CGA Services Senior Manager. This role will place you at the heart of the action, working alongside experts to deliver a global event that sets the new standard for major sporting celebrations. You’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to creating a world-class Games.

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of our Commonwealth Games Associations (CGA) engagement and Games-time delivery. As CGA Services Senior Manager, you’ll lead the planning and implementation of services and support for all 74 CGAs. From strategy and stakeholder coordination to real-time issue resolution, your work will help ensure that every CGA delegation has a seamless and world-class experience in Glasgow.

You will play a vital role in shaping athlete-centred services, building collaborative relationships, and ensuring that our Games are inclusive, operationally excellent, and aligned with the Commonwealth Sport values of Humanity, Equality, and Destiny.

Job Summary: 

This role requires a dynamic, organised, and people-focused leader with proven experience in major event delivery and stakeholder management.

You will oversee operational planning, manage CGA-facing documentation and communications, and coordinate with key Functional Areas to ensure integrated, high-quality services. From developing policies and readiness exercises to Games-time problem solving and legacy planning, you will be a driving force behind CGA experience at Glasgow 2026.

Key Skills and Experience: 

As the CGA Services Senior Manager, you will lead the strategic planning and operational delivery of services that support all 74 Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs). This includes overseeing the development, production, and distribution of key publications such as the Chefs de Mission Dossier and Manual. You will manage the CGA Travel Grant policies and associated processes to ensure their effective and equitable distribution. A critical part of your remit will be administering the Team Size Calculator (TSC) process, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and alignment with planning requirements.

You will collaborate closely with internal functions such as Accreditation, Accommodation, Transport, and Protocol to ensure an integrated, athlete-centred service model. Supporting the organisation’s operational readiness, you will contribute to testing, simulation, and validation activities to ensure preparedness across all CGA-facing operations. You will also be responsible for planning and delivering CGA Open Days and the Chefs de Mission Seminar in partnership with Commonwealth Sport (CS), coordinating input from all relevant functional areas. Ongoing communication and information sharing will be key, and you will ensure CGA briefings are accurate, timely, and aligned with organisational messaging.

In terms of workforce management, you will recruit, lead, and support a diverse and inclusive team of staff and volunteers, creating a culture that reflects the values of Glasgow 2026. You will ensure that every CGA feels welcomed, respected, and supported throughout their journey.

During Games-time, you will manage the CGA Services Centre(s) and oversee the daily Chefs de Mission meetings, providing high-quality support and facilitating the swift resolution of issues. You will respond to operational challenges with professionalism, flexibility, and a solutions-focused mindset.

Finally, you will play a vital role in legacy and knowledge transfer, capturing best practices and insights to contribute to future Games planning and to the long-term impact of Glasgow 2026.

The salary for this role is from £60,000 (subject to experience).
