Glasgow 2026 is seeking an experienced Fundraising Consultant to secure £1.5 million to support the delivery of cultural programmes and community sport participation. The consultant will work with the Organising Company and partners to develop and submit funding applications to trusts, foundations, and lottery funders, and identify and cultivate support from philanthropists and high-net-worth individuals.

- Fee: Up to £19,125

Deliverables
- Develop a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the £1.5 million target.
- Identify and prioritise suitable trusts, foundations, and lottery schemes.
- Prepare and submit compelling funding applications in collaboration with partners.
- Research, identify, and engage potential major donors, including philanthropists and high-net-worth individuals.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with funders and supporters.
- Collaborate with partner organisations to align their messaging and fundraising efforts.
- Provide regular progress reports and a final project report summarising all fundraising activity and outcomes.
Required Experience
- Proven track record of securing significant funding (six-figure sums or higher) from trusts, foundations, lottery funders and individual donors.
- Experience securing funding for culture and sports participation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing.
- Knowledge of the Scottish and wider UK funding landscape, including relevant culture and sports funders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in donor cultivation and stewardship, particularly with major donors.
- Understanding of Glasgow’s cultural context and/or sports sector is desirable.
