The Role
As Digital Project Manager, you’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of Glasgow 2026’s entire digital ecosystem – from the Games’ official website and mobile apps, to ticketing integrations, CRM, and spectator tools.
You’ll oversee planning, development, testing, and optimisation of all platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of users before, during, and after the Games. This is a hands-on role requiring close coordination with internal teams across Marketing, Ticketing, Technology, Volunteering, and Commercial, as well as external suppliers and delivery partners.
From scoping and procurement through to launch readiness and Games-time support, you will be accountable for timelines, budgets, risk management, and quality assurance. You’ll help ensure Glasgow 2026’s digital presence reflects our inclusive brand values, meets rigorous accessibility and data protection standards, and drives engagement with audiences around the world.
Job Summary:
As Digital Project Manager, you will lead the planning, development, and delivery of all Glasgow 2026 digital platforms, including the website, mobile apps, CRM, and ticketing integrations. You’ll coordinate teams and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of accessibility and user experience, supporting a seamless digital journey for millions of Games participants and fans.
This fast-paced role is ideal for someone organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about delivering seamless experiences for athletes, officials, media, and workforce across a world-class sporting event.
Key Skills and Experience:
In this role, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of all Glasgow 2026 digital products and services, including the Games website, mobile apps, digital ticketing integration, CRM, content hubs, and supporting platforms. You will develop and manage a detailed project roadmap and delivery plan, working to fixed milestones and immovable deadlines to ensure all digital elements are launched on time and to the highest standards.
Acting as the main point of contact for digital suppliers, developers, and creative agencies, you will ensure projects are clearly briefed, tracked, and reported, while coordinating internal teams across Marketing, Ticketing, Technology, Volunteering, and Commercial to align requirements and resolve issues quickly. You will establish strong governance, project tracking, and reporting processes to manage risks, budgets, and quality control, and you will supervise hosting, cybersecurity, and content delivery strategies in collaboration with the Technology team.
You will oversee user testing, pre-launch quality assurance, and performance monitoring to deliver accessible, user-centred digital experiences that meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and comply with GDPR. You will also provide operational readiness planning, training, and contingency support to ensure seamless Games-time delivery of all digital services. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will document processes, monitor analytics to inform future improvements, and contribute to post-Games debriefs and legacy reporting.
Please note that responsibilities will evolve as the project progresses toward Games-time operations, and this role requires adaptability and commitment to meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
