The Role

We have an incredible opportunity to join our Technology & Broadcast team as Technology & Broadcast Programme Manager — a hugely impactful role at the core of Games delivery.

As Technology & Broadcast Programme Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving the planning, coordination, and delivery of technology services that power the Games. From integrated planning and master schedule management to operational readiness and Games-time activation, you’ll be a critical bridge between internal teams, key suppliers, broadcasters, and Event Delivery Partners — ensuring every system, every venue, and every moment is ready for success.

You’ll play a pivotal role in developing an innovative operational model, challenging traditional Games approaches to create smarter, more sustainable solutions. This is a high-profile role with significant influence — placing you at the heart of decision-making alongside passionate specialists and senior leaders.

This is your opportunity to help deliver a transformative, technology-driven Games experience for athletes, spectators, and the world’s media — all while showcasing Glasgow’s global ambition.

This is your opportunity to work at the heart of a world-class event, collaborating with passionate specialists and operational leaders to deliver an exceptional experience for everyone powering the Games.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead the coordination of technology planning and delivery across the Organising Committee, ensuring that milestones, dependencies, and operational outputs are clearly defined, integrated, and effectively tracked. You’ll take ownership of the Technology Master Plan, overseeing reporting and governance requirements while analysing progress and risk to inform decision-making. You’ll drive the Technology Readiness Programme, coordinating simulations, rehearsals and in-venue testing to ensure systems, people, and infrastructure are fully prepared for Games-time operations.

Supporting the Technology Operations Centre (TOC), you will contribute to operational planning and incident management frameworks, ensuring that response structures, communication flows, and technology-enabled tools are ready to deliver seamless coverage during the Games. Collaboration will be core to your success — you’ll act as a central point of contact linking Technology & Broadcast activities to wider Organising Committee functions, ensuring accessibility requirements, cross-functional deliverables, and supplier performance are aligned to Games-time needs. You will also play a key role in capturing lessons learned and contributing to the Commonwealth Games Federation’s Transfer of Knowledge to support future events and maximise legacy outcomes.

This is a highly dynamic role where your ability to prioritise effectively, influence stakeholders, and maintain composure in a fast-moving environment will ensure every detail is in place when it matters most.

Key Skills and Experience:

We’re looking for a proactive, results-driven individual with demonstrable experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes — ideally within technology-enabled or operational delivery environments. You’ll bring strong organisational capability and a confident approach to managing multiple priorities, navigating challenges and maintaining momentum under pressure. Project management experience is essential, and certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 will be highly advantageous.

Clear communication and the ability to build influential relationships across internal teams, suppliers and delivery partners will be key to success in this role. You’ll have experience monitoring risks, maintaining structured governance and ensuring outputs are delivered to agreed standards. You’ll be motivated by continuous improvement, quick to identify operational gaps, and confident in recommending solutions that support readiness and delivery excellence. Experience working within major sporting events or similarly complex environments would be valuable, as would a strong understanding of technology governance, operational testing, or incident management.

Above all, you’ll be excited by the opportunity to help power the Games — applying your skills, judgement and leadership to make every second count.
