The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Catering & Recycling Manager (Non-Competition Venues) to play a vital role in the planning and delivery of world-class catering and recycling operations across Accommodation and Non-Competition venues. Reporting into, and working closely with the Senior Catering Manager, you will ensure seamless operations, exceptional client experiences and sustainable best practice throughout the Games.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for the operational planning and successful delivery of catering services to a variety of Client Groups, primarily for Athletes and Team Officials. You will lead contract management processes, align operational plans across multiple functional areas and collaborate with catering providers to ensure the highest standards of service. You will champion food quality, nutritional excellence and cultural authenticity in menu design, ensuring that offerings reflect global cuisine and take into account diverse dietary needs. Your expertise will support the development of efficient and enjoyable dining environments through smart space planning, smooth service flow and a visually and atmospherically appealing experience.
You will build strong and effective relationships with accommodation partners, Commonwealth Games Association nutritionists and commercial sponsors, promoting collaboration and clear accountability across all stakeholders. Ensuring readiness of providers, monitoring performance against pre-agreed timelines and maintaining compliance with legislation and OC policies will be key elements of your work, along with detailed reporting, reconciliation and knowledge transfer post-Games.
Key Skills and Experience:
To be successful, you will have proven experience in a fast-paced catering or hospitality management role, ideally within a multi-sport, premier hotel or major event environment. You will bring a genuine passion for food and beverage excellence, combined with comprehensive knowledge of nutrition, performance-based diets, and the cultural significance of food in enhancing the overall athlete experience. You will have an understanding of sustainability principles and strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills. The ability to translate client needs into well-executed operational delivery will be essential, as will experience in managing contracts and fostering high-performing partnerships. A qualification in hospitality, food technology or sports nutrition and leadership experience within luxury or high-volume catering environments would be advantageous.

Salary: Starting salary is from £45,000. Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
