The Role  

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health and Safety Coordinator!

The Health and Safety Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Organising Company, supporting us to drive the highest standards of health, safety, environment and wellbeing across all events, projects, venues, and supporting infrastructure. All work activities will be risk assessed to ensure hazards and risks are identified, with suitable controls applied to protect everyone. 

Organisational Health and Safety (OHS) provide strategic governance across the OC, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined, transparent, and accepted at every level. 

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and collaborative, with a commitment to ensure the Games are delivered to the highest standards.

Job Summary:  

As Health and Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work environment by planning, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and procedures.  

You will be required to promote and maintain workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with applicable legislation and standards. 

You will be responsible for conducting regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. 

You will support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

Experience: 

Our ideal candidate should have an exceptional organisational and multitasking ability. They should be able to balance competing priorities calmly and effectively.

You should be experienced in working in a fast paced organisation and have the ability to produce clear, concise risk assessments and reports. 

We would love for you to have knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and risk management principles. 

Prior experience in Health and Safety Management is desired.  

Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH/NEBOSH are desired or a willingness to train in this area.

Salary: Starting salary is from £27,500. Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
