The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Glasgow 2026 team as a Creative Studio Designer — a creative, hands-on role that will shape how the Games are seen and experienced by millions. You’ll play a pivotal part in bringing the brand and visual identity of Glasgow 2026 to life across digital, print, signage, merchandise, and more. From bold venue graphics and city dressing to engaging campaign visuals and internal content, your designs will be seen by global audiences and local communities alike.
Reporting to the Head of Content, you’ll work as part of the in-house Creative Studio, collaborating with teams across marketing, digital, operations, and workforce, as well as external creative agencies and suppliers. You’ll translate briefs into engaging, inclusive, and on-brand visuals that excite, inform, and inspire. You’ll help deliver the official Look & Feel across all touchpoints and produce scalable toolkits to support teams in maintaining a consistent and accessible visual language.
You’ll bring creative flair, production expertise, and calm efficiency to a fast-paced and high-impact role. If you’re passionate about storytelling through design and want to be part of an event that leaves a legacy of creativity and inclusion, this is your moment.
Job Summary:
As Creative Studio Designer, you’ll be part of the Content and Design team, reporting to the Head of Content. You’ll collaborate across internal teams and external agencies to produce high-quality design outputs across a range of formats and platforms. Your work will support marketing campaigns, operational delivery, workforce engagement, and the broader Games-time experience. You’ll be central to maintaining the visual consistency, accessibility, and integrity of the Glasgow 2026 brand across everything from social content to large-format signage.
Key Skills and Experience:
We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience in a designer role within an agency, in-house, or studio environment. You’ll bring a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create compelling visual assets across digital, print, and environmental formats. You’ll be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma, with a sharp eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
You’ll be comfortable developing work that meets brand guidelines and accessibility standards, with the time management and organisational skills to handle multiple deadlines at once. You’ll bring excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate across teams and provide creative leadership in busy periods. Experience preparing artwork for production, liaising with suppliers, and managing freelance support will be advantageous.
We’d also love to hear from candidates with motion graphics or animation skills, and from those with experience in sports branding, major events, or the public sector. Familiarity with Gaelic or other community languages and an understanding of social media design best practices would also be a plus.
