The Role  

We are seeking an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join our Games Experience City Activation team. Working closely with team members responsible for Look, Wayfinding & Signage, Spectator Experience, and Live Sites & Fan Zones, you will help ensure seamless planning and execution of projects that bring the Games to life. This role sits at the heart of City Activation, providing essential coordination, organisation, and problem-solving to enable the successful delivery of engaging and impactful initiatives across these functional areas.  

This role will place you at the heart of the action, working alongside experts to deliver a global event that sets the new standard for major sporting celebrations. You’ll gain hands on experience and contribute to creating a world-class Games. 

Job Summary:  

As Project Coordinator you will support the Games Experience Team across all aspects of programme planning, coordination and documentation, acting as a central point of contact within the organising company. You will coordinate inputs from Games Integration Gatherings and working groups, track actions, milestones, timelines and budgets, and support the development of operational plans with contributions from multiple functional areas. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation across SharePoint and Games Delivery Sites, coordinating communications with internal teams and partners, supporting venue activation initiatives, readiness checks and site visits, and providing comprehensive administrative support such as meeting coordination, reporting, record keeping and contact management to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of City Activation projects. 

Key Skills and Experience:   

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in project or programme coordination, ideally within an events, multi-sport / venue Games or major project environment. You will bring experience working with organising committees and companies, event organisers, public or private entities within project management. Knowledge of Glasgow’s events landscape and experience supporting monitoring and evaluation processes would be an advantage. 

You will have strong organisational and administrative skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a good understanding of cross-functional working in complex delivery environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with attention to detail, adaptability and resilience when working to immovable deadlines. Confidence in producing PowerPoint presentations and a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion are also required.

Salary: Starting salary is from £27,500. Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
