Jake burst onto the international scene at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where he made history by becoming the first English male gymnast to win four gold medals at a single Games. His clean sweep included titles in the team, individual all-around, floor and vault events. A feat that eclipsed even the legendary Max Whitlock’s Glasgow 2014 performance.

Known for his explosive power and daring routines, the Team England star was the only gymnast in Birmingham to attempt a vault with a 6.0 difficulty rating! His performances not only wowed the judges but also inspired a new generation of gymnastics fans and athletes. His ability to keep calm and collected at the highest level of sport is known as his superpower.

Since then, Jake has gone on to win World and European titles and claimed a bronze medal on floor at the Paris 2024 Olympics, cementing his place among the sport’s elite. His success on the floor was no surprise and was the first athlete to complete 3.5 full rotations in the air on floor exercise, resulting in this being named ‘The Jarman’ in his honour.

As a Glasgow 2026 Ambassador, Jake will help bring the Games to life for communities across Glasgow, the UK and across the Commonwealth, sharing his journey and passion for sport.

Speaking about his new ambassador role, Jake said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be named a Glasgow 2026 Ambassador. The Games have always been a special celebration of sport, unity, and inspiration, and it’s incredible to see them coming to Glasgow.

Being able to help share this experience and support athletes and fans alike is something I’m really excited about."
