This week, Glasgow 2026 hits a major milestone with the six months to go until it welcomes athletes from across the world for the UK’s biggest sporting event this year.

With the six-month countdown kicking off on the week of Burns Night, a celebration of Scottish heritage and community, Glasgow 2026 is launching a new range of beautifully crafted tartan products.

From today, supporters can own a piece of Games history finely woven locally at mills on the Isle of Bute and in the Highlands.

The tartan collection is launching with a 100% lambswool scarf, throw and tie that feature the official Games tartan.

The official tartan design was conceived by award-winning designer Siobhan Mackenzie and has been woven through the story of the Games since it was launched last year, appearing on the t-shirt for Finnie, the official Games Mascot.

Produced entirely in Scotland from local textiles, the tartan incorporates a 74thread grey base to honour the nations and territories competing this summer, alongside a 26thread dark blue section in homage to the 2026 Games.
