Rishikanta Singh Chanambam hails from Imphal West, Manipur, has risen to be one of India's most promising talents in the sport of weightlifting. It was this grit and determination he showcased on July 26, when he set a new Commonwealth Games record at Glasgow 2026 in the Snatch category of Men's 60kg Weightlifting. If establishing the record to beat at Amdavad 2030 wasn't enough, he also won India's first silver medal of the games.
