In the Men’s 110kg, Taniela Tuisuva Rainibogi won gold, Fiji’s first medal of Glasgow 2026 and broke the record formerly held by Djuraev Akbar of Uzbekistan at the at the 2025 IWF World Weightlifting in Norway.
The Fiji superstar Taniela Tuisuva Rainibogi, a bronze medallist last time out at Birmingham 2022 also broke record for the Men’s 110kg – Clean & Jerk with a 208kg lift and the Men’s 110kg – Snatch with a lift of 170kg both on July 30.
