Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony marks the conclusion of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games and is an opportunity to celebrate everything that has been achieved over the past 11 days. Join fellow athletes from across the Commonwealth for one final celebration of sport, friendship and shared memories before the Games come to a close.

The Ceremony will take place at the Hydro, Scottish Event Campus (SEC), on Sunday 2 August 2026.

The live broadcast begins at 20:00 (BST), with the Ceremony expected to last approximately 90 minutes, including official protocols, speeches, musical performances and the Commonwealth Games handover.

The Hydro, one of Europe's leading live entertainment venues, will once again provide the backdrop for a memorable finale to Glasgow 2026.

Proudly Clyde-built, the Closing Ceremony celebrates Glasgow's creativity, culture and unmistakable spirit. Featuring performances from iconic and contemporary Scottish artists, it will bring athletes together for one final celebration before the Commonwealth Games flag is passed to the next host.

Seating

Athletes and Team Officials will have the option of either seated or standing viewing areas on the arena floor, with accessible seating also available.
