Glasgow 2026 recognises the important role that faith and religion can play in supporting wellbeing, providing comfort and helping people maintain their usual routines while competing in a high-pressure environment and away from home. For many athletes and Team Officials, access to places of worship and faith communities can provide reassurance, reflection and a sense of community during a demanding period of competition and training.
To support this, Glasgow 2026 has produced a Places of Worship and Faith Centre Directory, providing information on places of worship and faith facilities across Glasgow and the surrounding area. The directory includes a wide range of faiths and denominations, helping athletes and Team Officials identify suitable locations to attend services, participate in worship, access faith-based support or engage with local faith communities during their time at the Games.
