Take a break from the crowds and make yourself at home in The Sanctuary - an exclusive indoor and outdoor social space created especially for accredited athletes and paid Games workforce. 

Whether you're looking to unwind after competition or a shift, catch up with teammates, friends or colleagues, watch the day's sporting action or simply recharge, The Sanctuary is your space to relax during the Games.   

Located at SWG3, The Sanctuary is open daily from 24 July to 2 August, 12:00pm to midnight.

Exclusive access to Live@SWG3 

A limited number of complimentary guest list tickets for selected Live@SWG3 events in the Galvanizers Yard will be available exclusively through The Sanctuary.  

Tickets are available on the day only from The Sanctuary Venue Manager and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note this does not include Bongos Bingo. 

 Need to know: 

  • Open to accredited athletes and paid Games workforce. 
  • Athletes may bring friends and family into The Sanctuary, provided they arrive with and remain accompanied by the athlete. 
  • Entry is strictly 18+. Challenge 25 is in operation, so valid photo ID may be required. Games accreditation cannot be used as proof of age. 
  • Athletes and workforce must present valid Games accreditation on entry. 
  • Amberwave Sauna sessions must be booked and paid for in advance. Please note the sauna is not fully accessible. 

  

Getting to SWG3 

SWG3 is located at 100 Eastvale Place, Glasgow G3 8QG. 

By Foot or Wheel 

SWG3 is around a 15 minute walk from the SEC via Stobcross Road. 

By Train 

The nearest railway station is Partick, approximately a 10–15 minute walk from the venue. Exhibition Centre station is also within walking distance. 

By Subway 

The nearest Subway station is Kelvinhall, approximately a 10–15 minute walk from the venue.   

By Bus 

A number of bus services stop within easy walking distance of SWG3, including First Bus routes 2, 3 and 77. The nearest bus stops are located on Argyle Street and Dowanhill Street. 

 

Please plan your journey in advance and allow extra time for travel during the Games, as services may be busier than usual.
