Glasgow is a compact, easy-to-navigate city, making walking one of the easiest ways to get around during the Games. Many venues are within easy reach of the city centre, and walking can often be the quickest option - plus it's completely free.

Cycling is another great way to travel, with Glasgow's extensive cycle network providing safe, direct routes across the city. Visitors can also make use of the bike hire scheme if they don't have their own bike.

Walking and cycling routes will remain open throughout the Games, and spectators are encouraged to consider these options where possible to help reduce pressure on roads and public transport.
