You will help distribute Glasgow 2026 access passes to thousands of athletes, officials, delegates and media.
The accreditation team establishes a participant’s eligibility to enter a Games venue. Accreditation passes grant holders the different access levels and access entitlements they will need to fulfil their role. As an accreditation volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for many client groups as they begin their journey at Glasgow 2026. You will support in the processing of information, printing of passes and provide a warm welcome, as well as good customer service, to those at the main Accreditation Centre or Venue Accreditation Centre.
You will help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for athletes and team officials staying in the official Games accommodation.
You will closely support the Commonwealth Games Association (CGA) representatives and other Glasgow 2026 teams to help resolve any issues and ensure the needs of teams are met efficiently and professionally. Your role may include providing information about the Games and the City itself, whilst you may be required to help with enquiries related to services such as laundry, housekeeping, and catering. This role is perfect for those who are organised, approachable, and enjoy helping others in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
The Anti-Doping team play a crucial role in upholding the spirit of fair play at Glasgow 2026.
As part of this dedicated team, you will support the athlete Anti-Doping journey — helping to create a professional, respectful, and positive experience for every competitor.
The Opening and Closing Ceremonies are the two most significant non-competition events in the Commonwealth Games.
These two moments will provide a platform for the Games to set the tone for the event, engage, inspire and empower the Games Family, spectators and viewers across the Commonwealth. Typically, these are among the most high-profile moments within the Games and position the Games, Glasgow and Scotland on a global stage. For a role in ceremonies, you will be asked to undertake shifts before the Games begins.
As a CGA Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) and the CGA Relations FA.
Based between Official Hotels and competition venues, you will act as vital point of contact in helping CGA representatives navigate Games time services such as transport, accreditation, accommodation and sport information. This is a people-focused role that requires professionalism, discretion, and a solutions-driven approach. It’s a great opportunity for individuals with a string interpersonal and organisational skills, and a desire to contribute to the success of teams from across the Commonwealth.
At Games-time, the team manages a central Games Media Hub and competition venue media centres. They will supervise interview areas, as well as photographer positions and assists the media to ensure they can tell stories of Glasgow 2026.
Media Operations provides facilities and services for accredited written press, photographers and non-rights holding broadcasters to support their coverage of the event. As a Media Operations volunteer, you will help share the inspiring stories of athletes and connect the competition with the rest of the world.
This role is ideal for those with an interest in journalism, communications, or events. A calm, courteous manner and a willingness to operate in a fast-paced environment are key.
The Protocol team are dedicated to delivering a seamless and high-quality experience for key stakeholders of the Commonwealth Games, including athletes, team officials, technical officials, dignitaries and Games partners.
As a volunteer in this area, you will be based at competition venues and roles may include welcoming services, accreditation support, wayfinding and ensuring that Games Family members receive timely and accurate information.
This is a great opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills, cultural awareness and customer service skills.
Results Technology Services are responsible for the planning and delivery of timing, scoring and results technology services across all sports at the Games.
Volunteers in this team will ensure that results data is delivered in real time and across multiple channels to a broad range of stakeholders, including athletes, technical officials, and fans around the world.
You will be at the heart of the action to welcome spectators, officials, delegates, and athletes to our world-class sporting venues.
As a volunteer in Spectator Services, you will be the friendly face of the event, helping create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for those attending any Glasgow 2026 venue. You will assist with wayfinding, information support and ensure spectators feel informed, safe, as well as excited, from arrival to departure. This role is ideal for people who love interacting with the public and want to be at the heart of the action.
This role puts you at the centre of the action, ensuring the operational delivery of all sports runs seamlessly.
Without Sport, there is no Commonwealth Games! As a volunteer in the Sport department, you will be helping to deliver world-class competitions and unforgettable moments for athletes, officials, and fans alike. From behind-the-scenes coordination to on-the-ground support, you will play a vital role in making sure every event runs smoothly, meets International Federation Regulations, and lives up to the spirit of Commonwealth Sport.
Sport Presentation relates to the planning and delivery of the overall production of the sport programme at the competition venues, including the stage management of the medal ceremonies.
Sports presentation enhances the event environment at Games venues through entertaining, informing and engaging spectators, which also supports athletes to perform at their best at the Games.
The Technology and Broadcast division is responsible for critical services that underpin the planning, operations, and global reach of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
As a technology volunteer, you will play a vital role in enabling the Games to be experienced by audiences worldwide, by supporting operations through which the story of the Athletes are shared across TV and digital platforms
This team guarantee the safe and sustainable movement of client groups around Games venues including competition venues, accommodation and transport hubs; whilst bus systems will transport clients from hubs to competition venues.
Transport volunteers will support the reliable and fleet service helping ensure key clients of the Games are transported safely from A to B. There will be a need for a small number of volunteer fleet drivers to help with moving clients and staff as well as equipment around Glasgow during the Games. These drivers will be based at the fleet depot and help out with non-driving tasks at times as well
Workforce are the operational backbone of an event, ensuring that all client groups have the workforce they need to deliver the Games.
Workforce volunteers will be the first point of contact for all volunteers and staff as they arrive on venue, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all and ensuring that everyone has a great experience at the Games.
