The Role
We are seeking an Event Operations Manager join us, working closely with the Head of Event Operations, to play a key role in executing the operating model for the Games. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a world-class event, working with passionate professionals and visionary leaders who are committed to showcasing Glasgow on the international stage as well as delivering an event of excellence to athletes and the local community.
Job Summary:
As Event Operations Manager you will lead the operational planning and delivery of competition venues, acting as the primary Organising Company representative and coordinating all venue functions, delivery partners, and suppliers to ensure requirements, service levels, and venue use agreements are met. You will ensure venues operate safely and compliantly by integrating health, safety, security, crowd management, and Games policies, managing venue documentation, and contributing to governance, risk, and issue reporting. You will also support wider Games operations including testing and readiness programmes, deputise for the Head of Event Operations, line manage Event Coordinators, capture post event learnings, and provide flexible operational support across competition and non-competition venues.
Key Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working within Event/Venue Management on previous multi-venue major events. You will bring the ability to coordinate multiple projects, teams, and suppliers in a fast-paced event environment. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and technical operational planning skills, familiarity with project management processes and tools, and financial literacy to manage and challenge budgets. You will have proven proficiency in relevant software, high attention to detail, sound decision-making within delegated authority, effective planning and organisation of self and others, adaptability in a dynamic multicultural environment, and the ability to perform under pressure with a hands-on, flexible approach.

Salary: Starting salary is from £45,000 Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
