The Role  

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Hosted Events – Strategic Partnerships to join our Strategic Partnerships team within the CEO Office and lead the delivery of our hosted events and delegate programme. 

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping how Glasgow 2026 engages with national and international stakeholders, government representatives and VIP guests, ensuring a seamless, high-impact experience that showcases the very best of Glasgow and Scotland. 

Job Summary:  

As Senior Manager, Hosted Events, you will lead the end-to-end design and delivery of the Glasgow 2026 hosted events programme. You will translate complex stakeholder priorities into world-class events and curated delegate experiences, ensuring every interaction reflects our values of inclusivity, professionalism and excellence. 

Working at the heart of the CEO Office, you will collaborate across Protocol, Ceremonies, Security, Transport, Venues, Hospitality and Communications to deliver a fully integrated guest experience. From high-level receptions and showcases to tailored stakeholder journeys, you will ensure every touchpoint is purposeful, seamless and memorable. 

You will also act as a senior point of contact for key partners and stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment across government, international and Games partners. 

Key Skills and Experience:   

To succeed in this role, you will bring significant experience in delivering high-profile events and stakeholder programmes within complex, fast-paced environments. A strong track record of translating strategic priorities into exceptional delivery will be essential, alongside the ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining a sharp focus on detail and quality. 

Building and managing senior relationships will come naturally to you, with the confidence to engage, influence and collaborate with a wide range of national and international stakeholders. Your communication skills will be highly developed, enabling you to navigate complex environments and ensure alignment across partners, teams and priorities. 

Experience working across integrated operational functions such as venues, transport, protocol or major event delivery will be key, as you bring a collaborative mindset and a clear understanding of how to deliver seamlessly across a large-scale organisation. You will also demonstrate strong organisational and planning capability, with the ability to balance competing demands and deliver at pace. 

Leadership experience will be important, with the ability to build, motivate and guide a high-performing team in a dynamic environment. A positive, inclusive and solutions-focused approach will underpin your leadership style, helping to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence. 

Experience of working on major multi-sport events or global event programmes would be highly advantageous, particularly within environments that require careful stakeholder management, operational integration and delivery at scale.

Salary:  Starting salary is from £64,375 Salary offered will be based on demonstrated skills and experience related to this role.
