The Prince & Princess Of Wales Hospice Lead The Way On What It Means To Go All In For The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games
As The Countdown Continues To The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, The Prince & Princess Of Wales Hospice (PPWH) Has Gone All In, Marking Their Commitment To Community Spirit And Celebration As The Games Return To Glasgow This Summer.
All In invites communities, from across Scotland, to gather and play their part in something unforgettable, unmissable and altogether brilliant ahead of the biggest sporting event in the UK this year.
As one of the very first organisations to sign up to the All In campaign, The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice (PPWH) are putting their own stamp on their Glasgow 2026 celebrations with a series of themed activity days in their Living Well Hub.
PPWH support young adults aged 16 and over with life shortening conditions and is the only service of its kind in Scotland. Sessions held every Monday bring service users together to take part in a range of activities, the latest being centred all around Glasgow 2026.
Games mascot Finnie headed along to support two Glasgow 2026 themed sessions, joining the young adults and staff at the hospice to spread her unicorn joy. The sessions involved Glasgow 2026 sporting themed activities, poetry and arts and crafts.
PPWH will continue their All In celebrations throughout the summer with more creative projects and community activities planned as excitement for the Games grows.
PPWH Ambassador, Loretta Scott said: “We're absolutely delighted to be going All In for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. When I heard that Finnie was going to every primary school in Glasgow, I was determined to get her to the hospice to visit our young adults.
“We talk of the hospice being a house within a garden within a park within a city and it’s incredibly important that our service users feel part of that wider community and big events like the Commonwealth Games happening on their doorstep.”
Glasgow 2026 Community Engagement Coordinator and All In lead, Jamie Carmichael said: “To see firsthand the hospice come together, has been incredible and really is what it’s all about. Since we launched All In, the response from sports clubs, community organisations and charities has been fantastic and we're excited to see people getting into the spirit.
“The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice has set a fantastic example of what it means to be All In for Glasgow 2026, making their celebrations of the Games truly their own. Their enthusiasm and their brilliant poem about Finnie, captures exactly what All In is about.
“Seeing all the creative and community projects come to life and how people are getting involved in the Games in a way that means something to them, is really special and we hope to see plenty more projects and activities come to life as we get closer to the Games.”
