THE STAGE IS YOURS - BE PART OF THE GLASGOW 2026 OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONY

The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will bring together up to 700 incredible volunteer cast members, group members or athlete volunteer marshals, to take part in both live and pre-recorded moments of the show.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, energetic people who are ready to jump in and be part of something unforgettable. From auditions to rehearsals and all the way to the live performances, it’s a considerable commitment, but it’s also an experience you’ll never forget.

Roles range from symbolic community moments and welcoming the athletes, to high-energy dance numbers, scripted performances, storytelling and so much more.

We are particularly keen to hear from:

• Dancers – all styles: classical, contemporary, jazz, urban/street dance, ballroom, social, traditional and culturally specific.
• Theatre performers – drama students, amateur dramatic groups, musical theatre students or anyone with experience in theatre, film, or live performance.
• Musicians – singers, percussionists, drummers, or anyone with musical flair.
• All-round performers – not everyone needs a specific skill; some roles simply need enthusiasm, energy, and a passion for being part of something unforgettable.

Some exciting details are still under wraps and will be revealed once the selection process is complete, but trust us, it’s worth the wait.
