Q - Is there any parking available at the venues?
There is no spectator parking available at any competition venue, with the exception of pre-booked accessible parking for eligible spectators. Wherever possible, spectators are encouraged to travel sustainably using public transport or active travel routes.
If travelling by car, consider using one of the Park and Ride options available across the city.
Subway Park and Ride
SPT operates Park and Ride facilities at Bridge Street, Kelvinbridge and Shields Road Subway stations, making it easy to park and continue the journey by Subway. For locations, parking information and charges, visit: https://www.spt.co.uk/travel-with-spt/other-travel-options/park-and-ride/
Train Park and Ride

Q - What time do gates open?
For Tollcross Swimming Centre, Scotstoun Stadium and Glasgow International Arena, spectators can access the venue 90 minutes before the event starts. For SEC Campus venues (The Hydro, SEC Armadillo and SEC Centre), doors open 60 minutes before event starts.
Q - How long before the event starts should I arrive?
Spectators are encouraged to arrive as early as possible once gates open to allow plenty of time for security screening, finding seats and enjoying the venue before the event begins.
Accessible Parking & Travel
Q - Can I book a Blue Badge parking space?
If you hold a valid Blue Badge, you can request an accessible parking space using our online booking system: www.glasgow2026.com/bookaccessibleparking
As parking capacity is limited, spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see the venue-specific information below.
Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow International Arena and Scotstoun Stadium
Accessible parking is available free of charge for valid Blue Badge holders.
Spaces must be booked in advance through our online booking system. Once your booking has been confirmed, you must display a valid physical Blue Badge in your vehicle when arriving at the venue.
Scottish Event Campus (SEC Centre, SEC Armadillo and The Hydro)
Blue Badge parking is available in the SEC Car Park, adjacent to the venue and operated by Glasgow City Council.
Spaces cannot be booked in advance and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that complimentary Blue Badge parking is not available at the SEC. A parking charge of £12 per day applies.

Q - Can I book accessible parking if I don't have a Blue Badge?
Due to the limited number of accessible parking spaces available, these spaces are reserved for valid Blue Badge holders.
If you require accessible travel support, please refer to the relevant Spectator Guide for information on accessible drop-off and pick-up locations, public transport options and the accessibility services available at the venue to help you plan your journey.
Q - There are no Blue Badge parking spaces available. What should I do?
We understand this may be disappointing. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any additional Blue Badge parking spaces for your session.
Please refer to the relevant Spectator Guide for information on accessible travel options, including accessible drop-off and pick-up locations, public transport options and the accessibility services available at the venue to help you plan your journey.

Accessible Venue Access and Facilities
Q - Are the competition venues fully accessible?
Yes. All spectator routes, including entrances and exits, are step-free and accessible.
Clear directional signage will be in place throughout each venue, and volunteers and stewards will be available if you need assistance finding your way.
Q - Will there be accessible entrance lanes?
Yes. Dedicated Accessible Lanes are available at the main entrances to all competition venues.
These lanes are available for anyone who may benefit from them, including wheelchair users, spectators with limited mobility and those with hidden disabilities or sensory needs.
No proof of disability or pre-booking is required. Simply speak to a steward on arrival and they will direct you to the appropriate entrance.
Q - Will I have to wait in long queues?
An accessible queue will be open to people who have specific accessibility requirements or who are unable to stand for long periods of time. However, please note that all spectators may have to queue on arrival to enter the venue, even at our accessible entrances.
Q - Are accessible toilets available?
Yes. Accessible toilets are available throughout all Glasgow 2026 competition venues.
They are clearly signposted and located across spectator areas. If you need help finding the nearest accessible toilet, please ask a volunteer or steward.
Q - Is there a Changing Places toilet at the venue?
Yes. Every competition venue has a Changing Places toilet.
These facilities are located within the spectator plaza or concourse area. At the Hydro, a Changing Places toilet is also available inside the venue.
Changing Places toilets provide more space than standard accessible toilets and include a height-adjustable changing bench and ceiling hoist.
If you need help locating the facility, please ask a volunteer or steward.
Q - Do I need a RADAR key to use the accessible toilets?
For most Glasgow 2026 venues, a RADAR key is not required.
The exception is the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), where accessible toilets inside the venue operate using the RADAR key system. If you do not have your own key, a steward will be able to unlock the facilities for you.
Q - Will sensory bags be available?
Yes. Complimentary sensory bags are available to borrow from Information Points at all competition venues.
Each bag contains a selection of sensory items, including tactile fidget tools. Noise-cancelling ear defenders for adults, children and babies are also available to borrow.
Please return all borrowed items to the Information Point before leaving the venue.
Q - Are assistance dogs permitted?
Yes. Trained assistance dogs are welcome at all Glasgow 2026 competition venues.
If you are bringing an assistance dog, please let us know when booking your tickets or by contacting us using the Contact Form at least five working days before your visit. This will help us allocate suitable seating where required.
If you need any assistance during your visit, please speak to a volunteer or steward.
Q - Are there relief areas for assistance dogs?
Yes. Dedicated assistance dog relief areas are available at every competition venue.
Please ask a volunteer or steward for directions when you arrive.
Q - Is there a wheelchair loan service?
Yes. Complimentary wheelchairs are available to help spectators move around the venue.
Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To borrow one, please speak to a volunteer or steward at the main entrance or visit an Information Point.
At SEC venues only, wheelchairs can also be booked in advance through the SEC.
Q - Will British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation be available?
Yes. British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation will be available for the Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony.
If you would like seating with a clear view of the interpreters, please contact us using the Contact Form on our website so we can allocate suitable seats.
Please note that live captioning will not be available for the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony or sporting events.
Q - Are assistive listening devices available?
Yes. Complimentary assistive listening devices are available at all competition venues to help spectators hear live commentary more clearly.
Devices can be borrowed from the venue Information Point on a first-come, first-served basis. Please return the device before leaving the venue.
Q - Are hearing induction loops available?
Yes. Hearing induction loops are installed at all venue Information Points.
To use the system, switch your hearing aid or cochlear implant to the 'T' setting when you approach the counter. Information Points displaying the hearing loop symbol are equipped with this service.
Q - Will live audio description be available?
Live audio description is available for the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony and selected sporting events, including:
- Athletics and Para Athletics
- Swimming and Para Swimming
- Track Cycling and Para Track Cycling
- Bowls and Para Bowls
If you would like to use this service, visit the Information Point when you arrive. A complimentary headset and receiver will be provided, subject to availability.

Q - How are competition venues supporting neurodivergent spectators?
Glasgow 2026 is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming experience for all spectators.
To support neurodivergent spectators, every competition venue offers:
- A Family Rest Area with access to a quieter space
- Sensory bags and ear defenders available to borrow from Information Points
- Accessible Lanes at venue entrances
- Volunteers and stewards trained to provide assistance, including recognising the Sunflower Lanyard
Please note that at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), the Family Rest Area is located outside the competition venue. If you leave the venue to use this space, you will need to re-enter through security and have your ticket scanned again.
Q - Will venue screens display subtitles or captions?
No. Venue screens will not display subtitles or captions.
Where appropriate, QR codes will be displayed so spectators can access content on their own devices using their preferred accessibility settings.
Assistive listening devices and live audio description headsets (for selected sports) are also available from Information Points.
Q - Can I receive publications in an alternative format?
Yes. If you require information in an alternative format, such as large print, Braille, Easy Read or audio, please contact us using the Contact Form on our website and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Ticketing
Q - Is there a box office to buy tickets from on the event days?
Yes, there is a Ticket Office located in each venue where tickets can be purchased if they are available.
Q - How does entry work?
At the entrance, spectators will go through a security check before having their tickets scanned and validated.
Q - Do I need to download my tickets onto my phone?
Tickets will be delivered by email, with links to add them to either Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. They will also be available to access and download as PDFs from a Ticketmaster Sport account.
Spectators are encouraged to add their tickets to a mobile wallet or download them in advance so they are ready before travelling to the venue. Tickets can be presented from the original email, a mobile wallet or as a printed copy – whichever is most convenient.
Q - Can I show a screenshot of my ticket?
No, screenshots of tickets will not be accepted. Spectators should either download their tickets to their phone’s wallet or have the email containing their tickets ready to present. Printed tickets are also accepted. To help speed up entry, have tickets ready to be scanned before arriving at the entrance.
Q - What if I have a ticket for another event the same day in the same venue?
If you have tickets for a second session on the same day, you will need to leave the venue after the first session ends and have your tickets scanned again before re-entering.
Q - Can I leave the venue and come back?
Re-entry is not permitted once tickets have been validated, unless you hold a ticket for a later session taking place on the same day at the same venue.
Q - Can I get a companion ticket?
Eligible accessible ticket holders can request one complimentary companion ticket.
Companion tickets can be requested after purchasing your tickets by completing the Contact Form on our website.
Food and Drink
Q - Are there food and drink outlets at the venues?
There will be a wide range of food and drink available at all competition venues, with options to suit a variety of dietary requirements.
Depending on the venue, spectators can choose from deli and bakery items, coffee and cakes, burgers, pizzas, fries, macaroni cheese, sweet treats and snacks, as well as food trucks serving favourites such as Lovebird Hot Chicken. Hot and cold drinks will also be available throughout the day, although alcohol will only be served from 11am.
As part of our commitment to delivering a greener Games, menus will showcase Scottish produce and include a wide range of delicious plant-based options.
Q - Will gluten-free options be available?
Yes. Gluten-free options will be available at our venues. While the range may vary by venue, food and drink will be available to suit a variety of dietary requirements.
Q - Can I pay by cash at food and drink outlets?
All venues are cashless. Please bring a debit or credit card or another contactless payment method.
Q - Can I bring water into the venue?
Full and sealed plastic containers or empty refillable plastic or metal water bottles up to 750ml are permitted. Please note it is one container per person. There are free top-up taps at every venue.
Q - Can I bring in my own food?
You can bring in a small amount of non-commercially branded food for personal consumption.
Q - Can I bring in my own alcohol?
No alcohol can be brought into any of the competition venues, however alcohol may be available to purchase within the venues.
Q - How is Glasgow 2026 supporting healthier food choices?
We want everyone to enjoy great food during their visit. Our menus include a range of balanced, nutritious options, with dishes to suit a variety of dietary requirements and preferences.
Q - Why are there so many plant-based options?
Around half of the food available across Glasgow 2026 venues is vegan or plant-based. Plant-based meals typically have a lower environmental footprint, while still being delicious, nutritious and full of flavour.
Whether you're vegan, vegetarian or simply looking to try something different, there are plenty of options to choose from.
Q - Is the food local?
Where possible, food and drink served at Glasgow 2026 has been sourced from Scottish suppliers using seasonal, locally produced ingredients.
Q - How is food responsibly sourced?
We're working with our catering partners to source food as responsibly as possible. This includes using ethical, traceable supply chains and promoting sustainable seafood, responsible farming practices and recognised food assurance standards wherever practical.
Q - Why are you telling the story behind your food?
Food is a great way to experience Scotland's culture and heritage. Our Food Map highlights many of the local producers supplying ingredients for Glasgow 2026, giving visitors the chance to discover the people and places behind the food they're enjoying.
Q - Where should I dispose of my food packaging?
Please use the bins provided at each venue to help us recycle and compost as much waste as possible.
Glasgow International Arena, Scotstoun Stadium and Tollcross International Swimming Centre: Food is served in certified compostable Vegware packaging. Please place these items in the food and compostable waste bin.
Scottish Event Campus (SEC): Bottles, cans, paper and cardboard should go into the recycling bin. Food scraps should be placed in the food waste bin where available. Everything else belongs in general waste.
Every correct choice helps reduce waste and keeps valuable materials out of landfill.
Q - What is the reusable cup system?
To help reduce single-use waste, different venues use different cup systems.
- Glasgow International Arena: reusable cups that can be taken home and reused after the Games.
- Tollcross International Swimming Centre: reusable cups.
- Scottish Event Campus: reusable cups are available across all venues. Recyclable cups are also available in the SEC Centre and Spectator Plaza.
- Scotstoun Stadium: certified compostable cups.
- Kelvingrove Park and SWG3: returnable cup scheme.
Please follow the signage at your venue for information on returning or disposing of your cup.
Q - What happens to leftover food?
Our first priority is to prevent food waste through careful planning. Where surplus food is available and appropriate to redistribute, we'll work with our partners to do so. Any remaining food waste and compostable packaging will be recycled or composted wherever possible.
Q - What do the coloured cloud icons on menus mean?
The cloud icons show the estimated carbon footprint of each meal. An A rating represents a very low-carbon option, while an E rating represents a higher-carbon option. They're there to help you make informed choices if you wish. Find out more at www.glasgow2026.com/carbonlabelling
Q - How can play my part in delivering a Greener Games at Glasgow 2026 through my food and drink choices?
You can help make Glasgow 2026 more sustainable by:
- choosing a plant-based meal
- bringing a refillable water bottle and using our free water refill stations

- putting food packaging in the right bin
- supporting local Scottish food and drink.

Venue Information
Q - Is public Wi-Fi available?
No. Public Wi-Fi is not available at Glasgow 2026 competition venues.
Mobile phone coverage will be available, although signal strength may vary during busy periods.
We recommend adding your tickets to your mobile wallet or downloading them to your device before you travel. You may also wish to save any travel information or venue maps to your device before arriving.
Q - Are gender-neutral toilets available?
Yes. Gender-neutral toilets are available at all Glasgow 2026 competition venues.
These facilities are clearly signposted and located within the main concourse or spectator areas. If you need help finding the nearest facility, please ask a volunteer or steward.
Q - Are baby changing facilities available?
Yes. Baby changing facilities are available at all Glasgow 2026 competition venues.

Q - Are there facilities for breastfeeding?
There are no dedicated breastfeeding facilities at our venues. However, if you would prefer a quieter space, you are welcome to use the Family Rest Area, located within the spectator plaza or concourse area.
No advance booking is required. If you need assistance, please speak to a volunteer, steward or member of staff at an Information Point.
Q - Is there a quiet space available?
While there is no dedicated quiet room, every competition venue has a quieter space within the Family Rest Area where spectators can take a break from the noise and crowds.
These shared spaces provide seating and separate areas for different users. Please note that they are not soundproof, so some background noise should be expected.
No advance booking is required. Simply ask a volunteer or steward for directions when you arrive.
Q - Is buggy storage available?
Yes. Free buggy storage is available at every competition venue.
For safety reasons, prams, pushchairs and strollers cannot be taken into seating areas.
Please remove any valuables, bags or loose items before leaving your buggy in the storage area. On arrival, a volunteer or steward will direct you to the nearest buggy storage location.

Q - Can I bring a bag?
Yes. One soft-sided bag per person is permitted, provided it is no larger than 48cm (L) x 34cm (H) x 23cm (D).
Q - Is there any storage for bags or personal belongings?
Unfortunately, there is no storage available for bags or personal belongings at any of the competition venues. Storage areas are reserved for prams/buggies and wheelchairs only. Each spectator may bring one soft-sided bag into the venue, provided it is no larger than 48cm x 34cm x 23cm (length x height x depth).
Q - Is smoking permitted?
All Glasgow 2026 venues are smoke-free. Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes or vapes, is not permitted within any Games venue.
Q - Can I take photographs/videos?
Photography and filming for personal use are welcome. Please note that tripods, monopods and other professional photographic equipment are restricted items and are not permitted inside venues.
Q - Where can I buy merchandise?
Merchandise outlets will be available at every venue, offering a range of official Glasgow 2026 products and souvenirs.
Q - Can I bring a flag?
National flags of competing nations, the Union flag and the LGBTQ+ flag (and individual community flags) are permitted but must not be more than 0.5m x 1m in size and not attached to a flag pole. Flags of non-competing nations are not allowed.
Q - Can I pay by cash?
All venues are cashless. Please bring a debit or credit card or another contactless payment method.
Q - What happens if I require any medical assistance?
If you require medical assistance during your visit, please speak to the nearest steward, volunteer or member of staff, who will be able to direct you to the venue's medical team.
Q - Can I bring in my medication?
Prescribed medication or commercially packaged and clearly labelled medication for personal use is permitted.
Q - Can I bring in medication that is administered via needle/syringe?
Prescribed medication, including any needles or syringes required for personal medical use, is permitted within our venues. There is no requirement to provide a medical note; however, we recommend keeping medication in its original packaging where possible, as this may help security staff if any checks are required.
If you need to administer your medication during the session, please speak to a member of the First Aid team in the first instance. They will be able to direct you to the most appropriate location.
Please retain any medical waste, such as used needles or syringes, and take it away with you when you leave the venue so it can be disposed of safely.
Q - What do I do if I lose something when I'm attending an event?
If the item was lost at one of the SEC venues (The Hydro, SEC Armadillo or SEC Centre):
If you think you've lost an item and you are still at the venue, please visit the nearest Information Point as soon as possible. Information Point staff will check the venue's lost property system and, if your item has been handed in, will help reunite you with it.
If your item has not yet been found, Information Point staff will take a report and advise you on how to follow up with the SEC team after your visit.
If the item was lost at a Glasgow Life venue (Scotstoun Stadium, Tollcross International Swimming Centre or Glasgow International Arena):
Please visit the Information Point as soon as possible if you are still at the venue. Volunteers will check whether your item has been handed in and, if so, will help reunite you with it.
If your item has not been found, your details and a description of the item will be recorded. You may wish to check back at the Information Point before leaving the venue, as items are often handed in during the event.

Q - What do I do if I find something when I'm attending an event?
If the item was found at one of the Glasgow 2026 competition venues (Scotstoun Stadium, Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow International Arena, The Hydro, SEC Armadillo or SEC Centre):
Please hand the item in at the nearest Information Point. If you're unable to do so, give it to the nearest event steward, who will ensure it is taken to an Information Point and logged into the Lost and Found system.
Q - I've already left the venue. Who should I contact about a lost item?
If it was lost at one of the SEC venues (The Hydro, SEC Armadillo, SEC Centre/ Halls 3, 4 or 5):
