Your safety and security are at the heart of the Glasgow 2026. Working closely with Police Scotland, Glasgow City Council, transport providers and emergency services, we’re delivering a secure, welcoming environment for everyone who lives, works and visits the city this summer.

Security measures will be proportionate, friendly and designed to minimise disruption. You may see additional police patrols, bag checks at venues and temporary barriers in busy areas. These are standard for major events and help ensure a safe experience for spectators, residents and businesses.

All emergency services will operate as normal throughout the Games. In an emergency, always call 999. For non‑urgent matters, use 101 or local NHS services.

We ask everyone to stay aware of their surroundings, follow signage and listen to staff and volunteers. If something doesn’t feel right, report it to a member of staff or a police officer.
